Graphic recording

Graphic recording, live drawing or scribing is translating conversations, presentations, public talks or any abstract context to visuals. It is taking visual notes.

How does it work? I can create a visual translation of your event by drawing it live. I capture the key message and most important elements of whatever the speaker is saying and illustrate it.

Digital or..? Both. I can do it on big papers on spot or even better - digitally on my iPad. We can connect it to a projector and the audience can follow the progress as I draw. People love it!

What things can I translate? Live events (presentations, talks, panels, conversations, meetings etc.), or long texts and figures (for instance, I can make you a visual summary of your annual report).

“We had the pleasure to work with Alex in the social project EMPROVE (www.emproveproject.eu). She was our visual recorder for a high-level round table with speakers from national and international importance (EU commissar, National Police etc.)

Alex not only managed to capture the most important key messages and ideas from the complex discussion, but she also visualised them in a memorable and effective way, easy to share or use as a visual memory and a reference point for next steps and actions.

What Alex does is not simply put your words into pictures, she magically removes all the bits and pieces that would bore and distract from the main idea or call to action and she engages other parts of the brain of your audience. If you ever dreamt of a translator, who can turn your ideas into a work of art – meet Alex.”

— Olga Mineva (Founder, EMPROVE Foundation)

“We had the pleasure to work with Alexandra as she held Visual Thinking and Graphic Facilitation workshop for our team. Our goal was to conduct a training, to get a grasp of graphic facilitation and to start using the method to visualize ideas, concepts and processes within the team and in our projects as well.

Alexandra was proactive in organizing it and presented it to us in understandable manner, make it look simple. We had a lot of fun while creating the Visual Vocabulary together, trying to put our words and terminology into pictures. We are looking forward to Part II and the chance to have the same interactive session with Alexandra again.”

“I've worked with Alexandra on numerous occasions in the past nine years - both as a colleague and a client - and every time it has been an immense pleasure. Most recently, Alex did a Visual Storytelling workshop with the team here at Taylor & Hart and it was the highlight of our two-day conference - educational, interactive, team bonding and oh so fun.

If you are looking to grow your team's knowledge and skill in visual thinking, visual storytelling, design thinking or graphics facilitating; or you are looking for a best-in-class graphics facilitator for your event, look no further.”
